Well, here it is folks!! My new blog, in all it’s shiny, pretty, floral glory. I don’t think it’s possible for me to be happier about how it looks and runs. I am very excited about the gallery feature, so take some time and click the link above to see tons of photographs from past weddings all collected into one mega portfolio. You can find some more information about me by clicking the “about” link above. Want to know what my favorite color is? Or my favorite snack? Go ahead, you know you want to.
I’d just like to say thanks, again, to Nicole Balch. She is the brainpower behind Smart and Lovely, the design company who created this rad new blog.
Anyway, on with what you really came here to see!
I am convinced that Nate and Gretchen have done something really, really nice to someone else at some time in their lives. All week leading up to the wedding, you heard the weathermen talking about “thunderstorms, rain, and clouds.” I am a firm believer that overcast days make for the best photographs, but it was very nice to see nary a cloud in the sky most of the day on June 21st. All in all, Nate and Gretchen’s wedding was spectacular. Their good karma spilled from the skies into every facet of their wedding day.
Congratulations you two. Enjoy your honeymoon!
P.S. My first ever wedding day slideshow will soon follow.

Love the new site design! But Oh My God, do I love your photos. I know you have probably said it before, but what kind of camera/lenses do you use? These last wedding photos are just gorgeous, you seem to capture all the right things!

Thanks so much! Right now, I am shooting with a Nikon D300 and an assortment of lenses. Although, I’d have to say my favorite lens is the 50mm 1.4. MMMMM. Such yummy images with that lens.

So lovely. I found your site (via making it lovely) and just LOVE these photos. That garden is amazing. And I want to cut myself a huge slice of that blue cake. Delish. You captured the day perfectly. Can’t wait for more.

I also found your site through Nicole’s, and it makes me SICK to think about MY wedding photos because you do BEAUTIFUL work. I had some hack that took horrid photos– so sad. You absolutely did capture the day beautifully. I loved every photo. Gretchen has some absolutely lovely taste to work with though too!!!! Man. I’m going to go cry now.

Just came across your website care of makingitlovely.com and I must say, your work is certainly in keeping with the ‘lovely’ theme. Although I myself am not engaged, one of my best friends is and is in search of a photographer with your aesthetic so I was thrilled to find you and I know she will be too.
Would you mind sharing the venue employed by in Rochester by this particular couple?

I’m in love with the 4th photo! She’s very old Hollywood glam and her dress is fantastic. All in the Kodak house too!! How cool!
