Check out this website of photographers photographing their loved ones. It’s really lovely. Spend awhile perusing all the different interpretations and unique voices that develop.
The Ones We Love
D300
So, I had all these intentions to have a little photo session while Kyle and I painted our bedroom last night. Well, turns out I was too busy actually painting to take the time to stage a full on photo shoot of the hubs in action.
So, I give you this “before” shot. Shot RAW at 1600 ISO and color corrected in Lightroom.
Those are some crazy energy efficient CFL bulbs we have in that lamp. And if you don’t know, CFL’s cast the gnarliest color tone on your photos. Just so you can see, here’s the same picture straight out of the camera. I am starting to love shooting in RAW. I’ve always been a JPEG girl, but hello! That’s incredible.

Anyway, we painted and painted until the wee hours. Writing silly notes to each other on the walls all the while.
But as the sun came up this morning, I decided to record the final result of our efforts.

Julia and Darin
I had never met Julia and Darin until this past Sunday. What can I say other than, they are the type of people where their positivity and kindness are just down right infectious!
I am thrilled to be a part of their wedding day in May! The best part of which, is they are DONE planning! They have a little less than 2 months to kick back and wait for their big day!
