Project 365

November 21, 2007

Last night I finished and uploaded my first BOOK! I published my Project 365 pictures and ordered a test copy from Blurb. If I get the copy and all looks peachy, I will possibly be offering up copies to anyone interested.

I am also considering using Blurb for wedding albums. If the print quality is as good as I’ve seen so far, I think it’s a stylish way to preserve your wedding memories.

Otherwise, I am headed out of town for a few days. Kyle and I are headed up to Gouverneur to spend Thanksgiving with his parents, sister, brother-in-law, and cutey patootey Keegan, our nephew.

I will have my phone on me, so if you need to drop me an email, or give me a ring, please do so. I just might not get back to you right away.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Nicole and Erik
November 3, 2007
Queens, NY
Even though I was there as a guest, I couldn’t help but snap a couple pictures to help document the day. Kyle is a map guy. The invite and a map of Queens is all we needed.

I am excited for our friends! Can you tell?

Nicole was simply stunning.

Happy days call for lots of poppers!

Just a dress detail during the first dance. Her bustle was lovely.

Wedding Rehearsal

When Nicole contacted me about shooting some pictures at her rehearsal dinner, the first words out of her mouth after I said yes were “It’s really, really, dark.” And a little grin crossed my face. I thought about candlelight, red wine, hearty food, and a room full of people celebrating the wedding to come. It was a room filled with love, and a room filled with romance. The mood of the evening reminded me of something out of Casablanca

The menu for the evening

Erik’s mother stuffed pumpkins full with gorgeous chrysanthemums. Such a warm, autumnal feel.

The rehearsal was taking place the night before Halloween, so the restaurant was all decked out in Halloween decorations. Bats flew above as the guests wined and dined.

Nicole’s maid of honor, Sofia, peruses the menu.

Friends chatting the night away.

The lovely bride and groom.

Rehearsal dinner

November 1, 2007

I have had so little computer time lately, but tonight I was home with enough time to get some of the detail shots from Nicole’s rehearsal dinner loaded.

The restaurant, Vespa, is located in Great Neck, and it exudes intimacy.

Low light, candles, pumpkins stuffed with mums, red wine…memorable nights are made of such.
